Global ISP billing, simplified

ISP billing software for internet & WiFi networks

Afriikanet is a purpose-built billing system for ISPs and WiFi networks. It meters bandwidth, generates invoices, and reconciles payments automatically — replacing spreadsheets with a scalable billing platform.

What it does

Everything your billing desk currently does by hand, running on its own.

Designed for service providers everywhere who need usage-based billing, payments, and subscriber management to work together seamlessly.

Usage metering

Pulls live data from your RADIUS or PPPoE server and turns bandwidth consumed into a line item automatically.

Automated invoicing

Invoices generate on each customer's billing cycle and send themselves by SMS, email, or WhatsApp.

Mobile money reconciliation

M-Pesa, Airtel Money, MTN MoMo, and bank transfers land in the right account without manual matching.

Arrears & churn tracking

See who's paid, pending, or overdue at a glance, with automatic suspension rules you control.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about how Afriikanet integrates with your network and billing operations.

Afriikanet connects directly to your RADIUS or PPPoE server via standard protocols. We support MikroTik RouterOS, Cisco, Juniper, and open-source RADIUS implementations. Integration typically takes a few hours — we provide a lightweight agent or configure an API feed that pushes session data to our billing engine in real time. No hardware replacement is required.

We support major mobile payment providers, bank transfers, and open payment APIs. Payments are reconciled automatically against open invoices, and customers receive instant confirmations. We can also add custom payment gateways on request.

Yes. Afriikanet supports hybrid billing on a per-customer basis. You can assign a prepaid data bundle to one subscriber and a monthly postpaid cycle to another, or even run both under the same account. Plan rules, caps, and suspension thresholds are fully configurable from the dashboard.

Afriikanet uses a resilient cloud architecture with automatic failover. Session data is buffered locally on your network gear and synchronised the moment connectivity is restored. Billing calculations run independently of your local infrastructure, so invoicing and payment reconciliation continue uninterrupted even during an outage.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We are SOC 2 aligned, perform regular penetration testing, and maintain strict access controls. Financial data is stored in secure, audited data centres with daily encrypted backups. We never share subscriber data with third parties.

Most ISPs are live within 24 to 48 hours. After account creation, our team configures your billing rules, connects your RADIUS or PPPoE feed, and tests mobile money reconciliation with your chosen providers. Complex multi-site or carrier-grade deployments typically take 3 to 5 days.

Yes. Invoice layouts, SMS and WhatsApp message templates, and the customer-facing portal are fully white-label. You can upload your logo, set brand colours, and customise language templates. We also support multi-language invoices and notifications for networks serving diverse subscriber bases.

About Afriikanet

One billing engine, built for how networks actually get paid.

Afriikanet started as a side project for a single ISP in Nairobi tired of reconciling M-Pesa statements by hand. It's now the billing layer for prepaid, postpaid, and hybrid networks across six countries.

No new hardware, no rip-and-replace — Afriikanet sits on top of your existing RADIUS or PPPoE server and mobile money channels, and starts metering from day one.
